What is a TSA lock?

On September 11, 2001, the United States suffered the largest terrorist attack in its history. To strengthen airport security, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) was created. The TSA padlock emerged in this context, being specifically designed for travel.

This is a combination lock that has an additional hole, allowing TSA agents to open luggage using a master key without damaging the lock.

Why use a TSA lock?

Meets international security requirements: In countries like the United States, TSA agents have the authority to inspect checked baggage. If your bag is secured with a regular padlock, it could be broken. The TSA padlock prevents this problem.

How to use the TSA lock?

Password Setting: On first use, set the lock to the default code (usually 000). Press the setup button or slide the lever while choosing a new three-digit combination.

Opening and closing: Enter the configured password, slide the latch, and the padlock will open. To lock it, insert the latch into the opening and turn until it locks.
